Donald Berry

Donald Russell Berry, 71, retired U.S. Army Veteran of Bladenboro passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther R. Berry and Viola Lewis Berry. He is survived by his wife, Anita Barnes Berry of Bladenboro; one son, Sean Berry of Bladenboro; two daughters, Vicki Walker (Paul) of Pleasant Garden, Kimberly Daniel (Murray) of Bladenboro; two brothers, Luther Ray Berry of North Myrtle Beach, SC; James Berry (Deborah) of Bladenboro; one sister Janice Berry of Little River, SC and one grandchild Sydney Walker.

Donald loved his family and his country. He retired from the United States Army as a retired Sergeant First Class. He served his term in the 101st Airborne, Special Forces Unit and 75th Ranger Regiment Second Battalion. Donald was a sweet, strong-willed and determined man. He knew how to get his point across. He loved to travel and play cards in his spare time. He also loved his coffee and Waffle House. His dry sense of humor and giving nature will be missed greatly.

Due to the COVID 19 situation and his current wife’s health condition, funeral services will be scheduled at a later date.
