Devin Brisson

Devin Wayne Brisson, of Bladenboro, went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2023 at the age of 49. He was born the son of Mitchell “Mickey” Brisson and Avary Bryan Brisson on October 3, 1973 in Robeson County.

Devin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elwood and Lucille Bryan and paternal grandparents, Essie and Preston Brisson. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, his beloved wife Courtney Davis Brisson and children Noah Wayne Brisson and Sarah Elisabeth Brisson of the home, one sister Tara Brisson Birchall, two nieces Morgan Birchall, Katie Birchall, one nephew Weston Birchall, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Devin loved the Lord, his family, and his congregation of Bethlehem Holiness Church with all his heart.  He was an outgoing young man who loved to talk and loved people. He had a servant’s heart and spent many years witnessing for the Lord. Devin especially loved to visit the streets of Fayetteville, where he began his street ministry, “Midnight Ministries.”

Devin worked as an environmental specialist with the N.C. Division of Air Quality. His friends considered him much more than a coworker, more like a family member. When not working, Devin and his family enjoyed working their little farm. Teaching his children about the animals and riding the tractor around the farm was the highlight of any given day. He was truly one of a kind. His compassionate heart, his contagious laugh, his drive to reach the lost and his unending love for his family and friends have left a huge impact on this world and earned many jewels for the crown he shall receive in glory.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the Bethlehem Holiness Church in Bladenboro. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 pm with the Reverend David Roper and Reverend David Pait Jr. officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Elwood Bryan Cemetery, on Sassafras Road in Bladenboro.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the Brisson home, 670 Sassafras Road, Bladenboro, NC.
