Dale Allen Lockamy

Dale Allen Lockamy, age 65, of Tar Heel, NC passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, while at Duke University Medical Center. He was born in New Hanover County the son of the late Robert and Peggy Smith Lockamy.

 Dale was a devoted son, brother, husband, and friend. He had a delightful sense of humor and enjoyed bringing laughter to other folk’s lives. His wife Debbie was the love of his life along with his fur babies, Baylee, Charlee, and Patches. Dale enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going to concerts, and traveling to the mountains or the beach. He was a hard-working man who learned at an early age perseverance. As a young man, he had lost his right arm and had to learn to use his left arm, which he did well. He earned a living by operating heavy equipment and his favorite hobby was landscaping, so you would never know by his abilities that he had any kind of handicap. Dale will be dearly missed for his love of people and the pure joy he brought to all those around him.

 Left to cherish those beautiful memories are his beloved wife, Debbie Lockamy of the home, brother John Robert Lockamy II of Delco, sister Ann Willard (Ezzell) of Wilmington, two nieces and one nephew.

The family will receive friends from 11-11:45am on Saturday, June 29th at Tar Heel Baptist Church with a memorial service following at 12pm with Pastor Tommy Puryear officiating.
