Clyde Mitchell Dove, 67, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Virginia Dove; two brothers-in-law, Wayne Parnell and Paul Dowell; sister-in-law, Anna Barnhill; in-laws, DG and Rosa Lee Watts.
Clyde leaves behind his wife, Glenda Watts Dove of the home; son, Robert Collier of Bladenboro; daughter, Jessica Pait and husband Dustin of Bladenboro; three brothers: Buddy Butler and wife Penny of Spruce Pines, James Dove and Glenn Dove, both of Bladenboro; five sisters: Dru Dowell, Marie Ammons and husband Eddie, Emily Parnell, Sarah Dove, all of Bladenboro, Mary Smith and husband Kenneth of Elizabethtown; sister-in-law, Ava Arp and husband Timmy of Clarkton; brother-in-law, Tim Barnhill of Tabor City; grandchildren: Madyson Pait, Willa Collier, Danica Bordeaux and their mother, Danielle Bordeaux; many nieces and nephews and lots of friends.
Clyde was a devout Christian that loved the Lord. He was a loving husband, father, papa, and brother who was always concerned about his family. An exceptionally good story and joke teller who never met a stranger. He also helped a lot of people learn how to drive a truck and obtain their CDL’s. To know him was to love him and his kind, loving spirit will never be forgotten.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Saturday, May 15th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Bladenboro. A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, May 16th at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Bladenboro with Rev. Bruce Miller and Timmy Arp officiating service. Burial will follow service in the church cemetery.
At other times, the family will meet at the home of his sister, Emily Parnell 12391 NC 211 West Bladenboro, NC 28320.
The family would like to thank Gibson Cancer Center, WellCare, Bladen County EMS, Charles Huggins, PA and staff of the Medical Imaging Department at Southeastern Regional, Acme Medical, Bladen Medical Associates of Bladenboro, ICU Department of Southeastern Regional Medical Center and everyone else that helped with his care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
