Catherine Smith

Catherine Carter Smith, 55, of Bladenboro went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 11, 2021, at her home. She was born September 7, 1966, in Bladen County to the late Tommy Carter and Doris Davis. Catherine leaves behind her loving husband Calvin Smith of the home, daughter Sylvia Lewis (Matthew) of Bladenboro, sisters Sandra Carter Taylor of Bladenboro, Cheryl Carter of Bladenboro, special children, Hunter Prevatte, Ethan Prevatte, Dylan Harden, Kaitlyn Taylor and Ashley Taylor Jackson. grandchildren Haley Marie Lewis and Georgia Grace Lewis, several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Catherine was a nurturing, loving Christian lady who adored her family. She especially had a soft spot for her grandchildren, her nieces, and nephews. Catherine enjoyed singing in the church choir, cooking for her family, and admiring nature. She also had a love of horses from a very young age. Catherine lived a simple life and loved every minute spent with those she loved. She will be dearly missed and her family longs for the day when they will reunite again.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 3:00 pm in the Allen Cemetery in Dublin with Rev. Bobby Carden and Rev. Jeff Justice officiating.
