Calvin Hildreth

Calvin Eugene Hildreth, 74, U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran of Riegelwood passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Lee Hildreth and Minnie Wetherington Hildreth, and three brothers, David, William, and Louis Hildreth. Left to cherish his memory are three sons, Bobby Hildreth (Katie), Justin Hildreth, and Kevin Hildreth, all of Wilmington, one sister, Anarah Norris of Hendersonville, three grandsons, Gavin, Parker, and Camden and many nieces and nephews.

Calvin adored his family and friends. He enjoyed attending church, collecting guns, fishing, and western movies. Calvin was a die-hard Braves fan. A giving person by nature, he leaves behind a legacy of generosity, laughter, and charm.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in the Elizabethtown City Cemetery. Rev. Chris Humphreys and Rev. Skip Williams will be officiating. All attendees are respectfully asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
