Brenda Thompson

On Monday, February 22, 2021 Brenda “Sue” Thompson, 72, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Dock Suggs and Helen Smith Suggs and her husband, Lewis Thompson. She leaves behind one brother, Lendy Suggs and wife Janet of Elizabethtown.

Sue had no children of her own however she loved caring for all the children in the neighborhood. When not babysitting, you could always find her either working in her garden, cooking or at church. A talker by nature, she loved people and it was not unusual for her to show up on the doorstep with a fresh pan of blueberry muffins. Sue also enjoyed a trip to the mountains and breathing in the fresh air. Her generous heart and loving spirit will be eternally missed.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 4 pm in the Cashwell Cemetery in Bladenboro. All attendees are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
