Bonnie Ransom Ivey

Bonnie Ransom Ivey, 76, of Bladenboro passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Whiteville. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Malcolm and Bessie Brown Ransom; brother, Emory Carey Ransom and first husband, Harvard Alexander Burney.

Bonnie leaves behind her husband, Lloyd Charles Ivey of the home; son, Malcolm Craig “Mike” Burney (Kelli) of Dublin; daughter, Sharon Burney Ward of San Diego, CA; grandsons: Christian Seymer Ward of St. Augustine, FL and Austin Craig Burney of Dublin; granddaughters: Samantha Rachel Ward of Perris, CA, Deanna Nicole Ward and Shelby Rebekah Ward of St. Augustine, FL; great-granddaughter, Isabella Alejandra Rose Ward of St. Augustine, FL.

Bonnie adored her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. In her younger years, Bonnie loved to crochet. She also enjoyed tending to her flower garden. She was loved by all and even though a petal may have fallen her memory will live forever. 

The family will receive friends from 7-9pm on Monday, February 12th at Bladen-Gaskins Chapel in Bladenboro. A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, February 13th in the Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarkton with the Reverend Heath Connor officiating service.
