Bonnie Mclaurin

Bonnie Ernestine Meares McLaurin,74, of Clarkton passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022. She was born on February 12, 1948 to the late Slade Meares and Christine Clark Meares in Bladen County. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Brandy Brinkman; brothers: Terry and Linwood Meares; sister, Ellen Rodriguez; brothers: George Edward Edwards and Jimmy Neal Edwards.

Bonnie leaves behind her son, Cecil McLamb and fiancée Rena Thompson of Beaver Dam; daughter, Lisa Hunt and husband Ray of White Oak; grandchildren: April Stegall (Patrick), Shania Jacobs, Tristian McLamb, Bailey McLamb, Hermione McLamb, Valentina McLamb, Junior Hunt and Carson; great-grandchildren: Camden, Keighley, Brynleigh, Easton, Bryceson, Rylan, Keegan and Maverick.

Bonnie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend who loved her family dearly. She was a manager at the TimeSaver for over 20 years. She enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching it rain with her beloved dogs, Buffy and Sugar by her side. Bonnie’s personality will never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, August 1st at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, August 2nd with Rev. Lacy Norris officiating service. Burial will follow in the Salem Church Cemetery in Clarkton.
