Bobby Babson

Bobby Dale Babson, 63, of Bladenboro passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. He was born on January 3, 1959, in Bladen County to the late Ted and Eloise Babson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sheila Babson. Bobby is survived by two sons, Brandon Babson, and Wesley Carroll, both of Bladenboro, two brothers, Jerry Wayne Babson and Teddy Babson (Jeannie), all of Bladenboro, three sisters Glenda B. Willoughby, Phyllis Barnett, both of Bladenboro and Barbara Seals (James) of Lenoir, and one granddaughter, Maelin Wright.

Bobby was a kindhearted man who would give you the shirt off his back. He worked hard and enjoyed working until he was no longer physically able. When not working, Bobby enjoyed watching westerns or his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. But on Sunday, it was NASCAR time. Bobby was a simple man who found pleasure just sitting outside in the fresh air. His compassionate and feisty spirit will certainly not be forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Bladenboro Chapel of Bladen Gaskins followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm with Russell Benson officiating. Burial will follow the services in the New Pait Cemetery on Center Road in Bladenboro.
