Bessie Britt

Bessie Edwards Britt, 92, of Bladenboro passed away on Saturday, April 01, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley in Fayetteville. She was born on August 21, 1930 to the late Joseph Ervin Edwards and Sarah Lee Edwards. Bessie was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Britt; son, Jarrell Dale Thompson; brothers: Ervin Joe Edwards and Conrad Bill Edwards.

Bessie leaves behind two sons: Darrell Keith Thompson and wife Donna, Denny Leith Thompson and wife Beverly;  one daughter, Rosa Britt Callihan and husband Hiram;  grandchildren: Teddy, Jonathan, Jeremy, Justin, Brandon, Brittany and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2-2:45pm at Shady Grove Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 04, 2023 with a funeral service at 3pm. Reverend Howard Allbright will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Old Field Cemetery in Bladenboro.
