Aulty Barfield

Aulty "Mickey" Barfield, age 77, U.S. Air Force Veteran of Elizabethtown passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 5, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aulty Barfield and Lela Mae Hester Barfield and one brother, Billy Causey. Mickey leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Deloris Parnell Barfield, of the home and his son, Drew Barfield of Elizabethtown.

Mickey joined the military at a young age and was stationed in Okinawa and in Homestead, Florida. He loved his family and his country. Mickey not only served his country but also enjoyed traveling to see all 50 states of it. His dedication and love of life will not soon be forgotten.

The family will have a small private service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of one’s choice.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Liberty Hospice for the wonderful care given to Mickey during this difficult time.
