April Barnes

April Lynn Barnes, 53, of Tar Heel passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Columbus Regional Healthcare. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob Bonham and Shirley Bass Bonham, and one sister, Belinda Leyen. Survivors include her husband, Edward Lewis Barnes of Tar Heel, two daughters, Ashely Dean (Nick) and Amanda Jones (Scott), all of Oklahoma, one brother Freddie Bonham of Four Oaks, NC, one sister, Sherry Wright of Dunn, five grandchildren, J.J. Ellis, Shaidyn Dean, Trinity Dean, Tinley Dean, and Tigg Jones and several nieces and nephews.

April was an enthusiastic and optimistic lady. She adored her family and rarely met a stranger. Her beautiful smile and positive attitude made her a joy to be around. She was a beautiful soul that left too soon but will certainly not be forgotten.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Allen Cemetery off of Bethel Church Rd in Dublin. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
