Annie Kathleen Malpass Clark of Bladenboro entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at the age of 89. She was born in Guilford County on August 6, 1935 the daughter of the late Luther and Pauline Johnson Malpass.
Annie was a devoted Christian mother and grandmother who cherished her family and working for the Lord. She attended two mission trips to Peru, South America, served as a Lay speaker for the Methodist church, and annually attended the Walk to Emmaus where she assisted with bible study, crafts and cooking. She later became the organizer for the event.
Annie was known as “Granny” to her grandchildren and was known for her southern fried chicken. She enjoyed cooking family dinners, sewing, quilting, crocheting, reading and spending time with her fur baby, Sassie. On Sunday afternoons, you could find her at the Whiteville Walmart where she would do her weekly shopping and chat with folks. Annie truly had a servant’s heart. The love that she freely gave to her family and others will dearly be missed and forever cherished.
Left to cherish those memories are sons, David T. Clark (Cindy) of Bladenboro, Vann K. Clark of Clarkton, daughter Karen Brock of Whiteville, four grandchildren Amanda, Kerri, Cody, and Vann, and seven great grandchildren Savannah, Kasey, Matilda, Millicent, Tanner, Colton, and Koddi. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Vann Clark, grandson Matthew Clark, and one brother, James Johnson.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 1:00 pm in the McCall Cemetery in Clarkton with the Reverend Neil Smith officiating.
