Ann Bailey Long

Ann Bailey Long, 78, of Bladenboro passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at her home.

She was born in Robeson County on January 14, 1946, daughter of the late Percy Bailey and Martha Herring Bailey.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Buddy Long, two brothers Larry Bailey and Rocky Bailey and two sisters, Martha Brown and Betty Wicker. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Mike Long (Jonalyn) of Pennsylvania, Steve Long (Rachel) of Lake Waccamaw, two daughters, Jeannie Branch (Keith) of Bladenboro, and Terry Simmons (Kenny) of Lumberton, three brothers Autry Walters of Lumberton, Charlie Walters (Kay) of Bladenboro and Bobby Walters of Bladenboro, one sister Donna Moffett of Lumberton, five grandchildren Erica Inman (Casey), Sebastian Long (Megan), Courtney Simmons Fennigan (Connor), Craig Long, and Alyssa Branch, five great grandchildren, Mila Long, Elena Long, Hudson Long, Lorelai Inman, and Julia Inman, and her fur babies, Tiger and Richie.

Ann was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and her fur babies. She loved to be at home. You could always find her in the mornings drinking a good cup of coffee, reading her Bible, or tending her flowers. She enjoyed decorating, especially at Christmas and absolutely loved her Christmas trees. Ann will dearly be missed by all that know and love her.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home with the Reverend Ronnie Brisson officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Floyd Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lumberton.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Jeannie and Keith Branch, 57 Hillside Circle, Bladenboro, NC 28320.
