Ada Katherine Wilson, 3, of Bladenboro, passed into the presence of her Heavenly Father on August 5, 2022. Ada leaves behind her parents Samuel and Abigail Wilson of Bladenboro, and her sister Sophia of Bladenboro; also surviving are her grandparents Douglas and Julia Kaye Wilson, of Dunn; her grandparents Kurt and Janet Stabler, of Dunn; great-grandmother Frankie Roberts, of Bladenboro; great-grandmother Dorothy Stabler, of Montoursville, PA; as well as loving uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Ada has been loved dearly by so many, and her short life touched and impacted many more. God’s design for Ada included a rare genetic condition, but she bore her challenges with patience and sweetness. Her parents are deeply grateful for those who helped her overcome many challenges and enjoy the abilities God had given her. A great debt of gratitude is owed to loving family and friends, who helped and prayed for her; her therapists, who invested in and loved her; and her doctors and nurses, who worked tirelessly for Ada’s health and comfort through many months of hospital stays. Ada loved her family; she loved music and especially loved to be sung to; she loved her blanket and her toys; she loved her Mama most of all. Her favorite hymns were Great is Thy Faithfulness and God Will Take Care of You. She has fulfilled God’s purpose for her life on earth, and she now is released to rest and rejoice in the presence of her faithful Creator forever.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, from 6-8 p.m., at the Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday morning at Christ Hope Bible Church, 125 NC 242 in Bladenboro. A private burial will follow at the Archie Roberts Cemetery.
