Jimmy Davis Kelly, 80, of Bladenboro passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents: John B. Kelly Sr. and Eloise Britt Kelly, one sister Peggy K. Rich, and one grandson, Joshua Kelly. Jimmy leaves behind his loving wife, Faye Smith Kelly of the home; two sons: Cecil Kelly of Bladenboro; Bobby Kelly and wife Margie of Bladenboro; one brother, John Broadus Kelly Jr. of Bladenboro; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Jimmy was a hardworking, simple man that loved his family. After retiring from Dupont, he could either be found working in his yard or down at the fish ponds. Jimmy loved his flowers, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren, teaching them how to fix things. He was honest and smart with a wonderful personality. A fun, gentle soul of a man that will certainly be missed by all those that knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Bladen Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown followed by a 2 pm funeral service in the chapel. Burial will follow the services in the Singletary Cemetery, off of Boardman Rd in Bladenboro.
