Herbert Edward Canady June 23, 2010

Mr. Herbert Edward Canady, 79, of Elizabethtown entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Mr. Canady was born on May 1, 1931 to the late Joseph Hampton and Mary Agnes Lanier Canady. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Tammy Yvonne.

Mr. Canady loved his family very much. He was a business man who operated a laundry mat, Canady Septic Tank and Canady Family Care.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 7:00 until 9:00pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 2:00pm at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Cox and Ken Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery on Hwy 701.

Mr. Canady is survived by his wife, Christine Blackwell Canady of the home; one son, Edward Canady of Elizabethtown; three daughters, Connie Corcelius and husband Kevin of Butters; Bonnie Fowler and husband Timmy of Elizabethtown; Diana Cook and husband Hugh of Abbottsburg; one brother, Wayne Lanier of Clarkton and a half sister; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
