Mary Marie Ward February 25, 2010

Mary Marie Ward, 71, of Bladenboro went home to be with the Lord, February 25, 2010, at her home.

She is preceded is death by her parents, Vernon Lee Blackwell and Sadie Durden Blackwell; her son, David Earl Ward; one sister and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Ward, of the home; two daughters, Faye Edwards and husband, Bryant, and Carol Ward and husband, Bennett; three brothers, Frank Blackwell of Hope Mills, Bennie Blackwell of Fayetteville, and Vernon Neal Blackwell of Hope Mills; four sisters, Virginia Phillips of Hope Mills, Christine Cannady of Elizabethtown, Austine Phillips of Fayetteville, and Louise Martin of Lumberton; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


The family will be at Faye and Bryant Edwards’ home, 639 Oak Grove Church Road.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 27, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home.

Services will be Sunday, February 28, at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Greenwood officiating. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery, Lumberton, NC.
